A complete look at my Dirty Thoughts

Dirty Thoughts, my new painting series, is hanging at the Super Wonder Gallery until Friday. These six small panels seem innocent at first (the drawings are based on an Edwardian Snakes & Ladders game I bought at a garage sale), but each of the characters has an itch that needs scratching.

Perfect for the guest bathroom, these panels are priced at $200 each.

The Super Wonder Gallery (99 Sudbury, Toronto) is open this Wednesday and Thursday, 4 to 8 p.m., closing party on Friday, 6 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Dog portraits

Rotisserie Biggie

I recently did this portrait of Biggie, my friends’ ancient but still-spry chihuahua. Biggie spends the winter in front of the space heater, turning herself every few minutes like a rotisserie chicken.

I’ve done a few dog portraits over the years. They’re fun to do, though all the dogs I’ve drawn have had a lot of personality.

Rookie. So lazy.
Ruby, king of the garbage eaters.
Cady, queen of the Schipperkes.
