Art Sale!

Swizzle Studio is making room for new projects and new ideas. We have paintings, drawings and textile creations we’d rather have someone enjoy than keep in storage.

During the month of May, we will be selling this work at lowered prices to our collectors and fans. We have been unpacking work from the last 20 years (!) and photographing it.

We will be posting works for sale on our Instagram account @swizzlestudio

We intend to have an Open House in our Toronto studio later this month. Details to follow.

If there are specific pieces you are interested in, or to book a private showing, contact us at studio [at] swizzle.ca

December sale revised catalogue

Download (PDF, 1021KB)

Thanks to everyone who took advantage of my December drawing and painting sale. It’s nice to have those artworks find a good home. Here’s a revised PDF with the remaining works for sale. If you make a last minute holiday purchase, I can still get the package to you before Christmas (Probably. I can’t guarantee Canada Post’s work). $25 shipping gets you Expedited shipping in Canada and the US on the small works. Large paintings shipping costs to be determined.

The Tin Drum paintings

German author Günter Grass died this week. I’ve read his novel The Tin Drum a couple of times – 20th century history through grotesque allegory is one of my favourite things. (Other great examples of this kind of writing: Irish author J. G. Farrell’s Troubles and Russian author Mikhail Bulgakov’s The Master and Margarita.)

I did a couple of The Tin Drum-themed paintings in 2004, and thought I’d post them today.
